TRAVERSE CITY -- The Grand Traverse County Health Department lifted E. coli beach advisories for East and West Grand Traverse Bays.

Authorities advised only partial body contact with water at West End beach, Bryant Park and East Bay Park based on samples taken Wednesday, but samples taken Thursday show levels of the bacteria are now low enough to permit full body contact at all beaches, health officials said.

Beaches at Traverse City State Park and Clinch Park didn't show high E. coli levels in the Wednesday sampling and weren't sampled again Thursday.''
