ELK RAPIDS — Authorities are investigating the death of a Kewadin man whose body was found floating in the Elk Rapids harbor.
Two people walking near a docks area shortly after 10 a.m. Sunday discovered the floating body of Albert John Anderson, 64, between docks 17 and 18 in the upper harbor off of Bridge Street. They pulled Anderson from the water and called 911, Antrim County Sheriff Dan Bean reported.
Anderson was last seen around 10:30 p.m. Saturday in the same area, Bean said.
Authorities suspect drowning as the cause of death, but await autopsy and toxicology reports.
