Maples proposals appear to have passed

TRAVERSE CITY — Proposals to fund operations and a new building for The Maples nursing home in Benzie County appear to have passed, preliminary election results show.

Two separate millage proposals were leading as of 11:20 p.m. Tuesday, with 10 of 13 precincts reporting. They include:

n A five-year, 0.365-mill proposal to fund operations, and;n A 20-year, 0.635-mill proposal for a new building and capital improvements.
