Cherry Fest lineup, Carpenter announced

Kansas to open National Cherry Festival concerts

TRAVERSE CITY — The National Cherry Festival has announced its music lineup and the City Opera House announced Mary Chapin Carpenter will be performing there.

The rock band Kansas will open the Cherry Festival's Open Space concerts on Wednesday, July 6.

A Beatles tribute band, 1964 The Tribute, is scheduled for Thursday, July 7. Rock and country team up Friday, July 8, with .38 Special and Brantley Gilbert.

Josh Gracin will perform country music Saturday, July 9, for the festival finale.

A V-Pass for $15 is good for all four concerts general admission. A V-Pass Gold for $25 is good for the four concerts, the air show flight deck and the Global Wine Pavilion. Individual general admission tickets are $7-$10; individual reserved seats are $15-$25. To purchase tickets or for more information, go to www.cherryfestival.org.

Folk singer-songwriter Mary Chapin Carpenter is scheduled to perform at the City Opera House Friday, July 15, in support of her new album, "The Age of Miracles."
