TRAVERSE CITY — City residents will receive new voter identification cards in the mail.
In coming weeks, the Traverse City clerk's office will mail the new cards — a state law requirement prompted by changes including redistricting of Grand Traverse County commissioner seats.
Polling locations will not change. The voter identification card lists the polling site.
Fixing the crowded and sometimes dangerous Division Street traffic corridor will take years and no one knows yet how the project will be funded, Michigan's top transportation official said.
