TRAVERSE CITY — Police arrested a Traverse City man after they said he violated his probation by possessing marijuana.
Authorities received a tip about a man who left the Park Place Hotel Wednesday night and violated his probation by drinking alcohol, according to a Traverse City police statement.
Police approached the man, 28, near the intersection of State and Cass streets, and they said he removed three bags of suspected marijuana from his pocket and threw them.
He was taken to the Grand Traverse County Jail on suspicion of a parole violation and possessing marijuana with intent to deliver.
