PETOSKEY — Northern Michigan Regional Health System broke off affiliation talks with Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids.
The board for the Petoskey-based health system unanimously agreed to terminate its affiliation discussions with Spectrum that started in March 2009, citing "significant differences" between the parties.
"Differences between the two organizations existed in the vision for the delivery of local healthcare services, leadership structure, and board of trustee models," said Reezie DeVet, president and CEO of Northern Michigan Regional Health System.
