Tom Sisco made up a twenty-second story about "Lonnie the Leprechaun" while dropping off some cookies to his children's school for a class St. Patrick's Day party 33 years ago. Since then, Sisco has taken over the cookie production, the story has grown to twenty minutes, and more than 700 kindergarten through fifth-grade students in Traverse City and Leelanau County have heard his story. He plans on making seven dozen this year.
