Aaron and Almira Page's house sat atop a hill overlooking Omena Bay. They farmed and also ran a boarding and rooming house for lumbermen and later summer visitors to Omena. Page's brother Abel purchased the house after they left Omena and turned it into a summer resort called Che-Min-Wah-Be in 1891.
