TRAVERSE CITY —
Authorities are investigating a reported stabbing after the Fourth of July fireworks show in Traverse City.
Traverse City police officers responded to a call near a McDonald’s restaurant, 710 E. Front St., at about 2 a.m. Monday. The male victim was not there when officers arrived, but was found later at Munson Medical Center with large cuts on his forearms and knees, police said.
The victim told police he had watched the fireworks show with several people at Sunset Park and later started to argue with a woman. The woman then broke a beer bottle and used it to stab the man three times, authorities said.
Police said the victim was still at Munson on Tuesday morning. Anyone with information is asked to call the Traverse City police detective bureau.
