No foul play in death on Haserot beach

TRAVERSE CITY — Authorities said there was no foul play associated with the death of a Frankfort man found on a local beach.

Peninsula Township employees found John Hamilton McCready, 64, early Monday on Haserot beach along Old Mission Peninsula.

Grand Traverse sheriff's deputies continue to work with the county's medical examiner to determine McCready's cause of death.

Initial investigation shows his body didn't wash ashore.
