DETROIT (AP) — A Detroit gas station clerk will stand trial in the shooting death of a man during a dispute over the price of condoms.
The Wayne County prosecutor's office says Ibrahim Saleh was bound over on first-degree murder and using a firearm during a felony charges following a preliminary examination Monday.
Michael Haynes was shot in the back March 10.
Prosecutors have said Haynes knocked over several shelves of merchandise in the gas station. Authorities say Saleh entered the merchandise area and shot Haynes as he was leaving the business.
Saleh's arraignment is scheduled July 23 in Wayne County Circuit Court.
