Frankfort junior Kyle Zimmerman has been named to the 2010 Louisville Slugger Pre-Season High School All-American team, and one of only two players from Michigan selected to the first team (the other was Birmingham Brother Rice shortstop Pat MacKenzie).
He was the ninth of 37 pitchers chosen for the team, which goes in order of recommendation from scouts and coaches.
A left-hander, Zimmerman has a career record of 24-2 with a 0.55 ERA and 243 strikeouts in 150 innings. He also hit .439 last year with 31 stolen bases.
