KINGSLEY -- Kingsley won its first Northwest Conference softball championship in school history Thursday with 6-4 and 3-1 wins over Glen Lake.
Kingsley finished 13-0-1 in the league.
Pitcher Amanda Worm pitched a pair of two-hitters and set a school career strike out record in the process. Worm struck out 14 in the two games, giving her 295 in her career.
Rachel Dorie, Hillary Hoeflin and Amanda Ocobock all had a hit and an RBI in the first game. Alexa BAch had an RBI double in the nightcap. Dorie also drove in a run.

TC St. Francis 7 11
Cadillac 5 1
Kelli Day had six hits, four in the first game, as TC St. Francis swept Cadillac, 7-5 and 11-1.
Heather Larsen added three hits and two RBIs in game one for St. Francis (21-9) while Sarah Brunner and Lauren Adams had two.
Ellen Kendziorski had two htis and three RBIs in game two while Sarah Brunner and Day had two hits. Mary O'Neil, Tara Kellicut and Allison VanderKolk contributed RBI singles.
Amy Brunner was the winning pitcher in the opener while Sarah Brunner got the 'W' in game two.
Kalkaska 7 4
Mancelona 0 0
Marissa Taylor and Jen Spann struck out 13 batters in each game as Kalkaska shut out Mancelona twice, 7-0 and 4-0.
Taylor tossed a one-hitter in game one and helped her own cause with two hits and three RBIs. Bernadette Gillespie added two hits while Taren Fales, Maria Harbour and Gillespie had RBIs for Kalkaska (26-7).
Spann scattered six hits in the nightcap. Kara Ponstein had two hits and Kaiti Jones a RBI triple.
Frankfort 19 18
McBain 4 8
Allison Webber won one game on the mound and added six hits on the night as Frankfort took both ends of the twinbill from McBain.
Webber struck out six in the 19-4 opener. Laney Eubank had two hits, including a home run.
Kayla Nye was the nightcap winner, striking out three. Jeana Papineau had three hits and Kelly Rouse added a triple.
Webber had three hits in each game.
Frankfort hosts Buckley today.
TC Central JV 7 4
East Jordan JV 4 6
Kristen Levandoski drove in four runs as the TC Central JV topped East Jordan, 7-4.
Adrienne Bruder, Meredith Aja and Nikki Schaub had two hits for the Trojans (8-20). Nikki Cook was the winning pitcher.
East Jordan won game two, 6-4.
TC West frosh 7 5
Gaylord JV 6 3
Taylor Peek had three hits as the Traverse City West freshmen won two close games against the Gaylord JVs.
Alison Friar, Megan Stowe, Jen Kennedy and Peek each had two hits in a 7-6 opening-game win. Laura Cizek added a double and Kennedy was the winning pitcher for the Titans (23-7).
Lauren Bilinski was the winner in the 5-3 nightcap. She also led off the fourth inning with a triple that ignited a four-run rally as Peek, Katie Kaminski and Shelby Newhouse followed with hits.
TC East frosh 2 12
Glen Lake JV 12 5
Mallory Weaver led the way for Traverse City East in a split with Glen Lake's JVs.
Weaver was 4-for-4 in the nightcap and led off the game with a home run. Stephanie Grace, Katie Madison and Alyssa Groenevelt were each 2-for-4.
Grace Duensing was the winning pitcher, striking out five. She added two hits and an RBI.
In the opener, Maddy Thomas had a double, Olivia Newhouse had an RBI and Weaver stole home.
The Trojans finished the season 9-18.
BASEBALL
Frankfort 16 13
McBain 1 3
Frankfort extended its winning streak to 20 games with a sweep of McBain.
The Panthers won 16-1 and 13-3.
Cameron MacArthur tossed a two-hitter in the opener, striking out three. Kyle Zimmerman was 3-for-3 with five RBIs and Timmy Stieve drive in three runs.
Alex Stieve and Kam Hollenbeck combined on a five-hitter in the nightcap.
The offense was led by Devin Gokey (4-for-4, three RBIs), Wade Luxford (3-for-4, two RBIs), Nick Tondu (2-for-2, two RBIs) and Chris Tondu (2-for-3, two RBIs).
Chris Tondu's two-run double in the fourth broke open a previously tight game.
Frankfort (23-3) travels to Buckley today.

Glen Lake and Kingsley split a pair of Northwest Conference games, the first of which was completion of a suspended game from May 2.
Kyle Klumpp was the winning pitcher for Glen Lake in a 6-2 win. He allowed four hits and struck out six.
KC Novak had three hits, two of which were doubles. Josh Jacklin added a two-run double and Devin Weber two hits for the Lakers (16-14, 6-8 Northwest).
Ryan Fuller had two hits and a RBI for Kingsley (3-11 NWC).
Parker Fitzsimmons had a three-run single and John Bodjack a two-run double to lead Kingsley to a 6-1 win in the nightcap. Seth Harrison added two hits and Fuller a RBI single.
Bodjack allowed four hits -- two to Jacklin -- and struck out eight.
Suttons Bay 20 15

Marty Glowicki tossed a four-inning perfect game as Suttons Bay completed a sweep of TC Christian with a 15-0 victory.
Glowicki struck out five and retired the minimum 12 batters on 27 pitches. Ryan Manning led the Norsemen (15-14) with four hits and three RBIs while Kody herman, Shane Kaufman (two RBIs) and Glowicki had two hits.
Glowicki had four hits in the opener while Herman added two hits and two runs and Manning two RBIs.
The Norse face Mancelona in Division 3 pre-district action on Tuesday.

Ryan Crawley pitched a three-hitter in the opener and Tyler Strange a two-hitter in the nightcap as Central Lake swept Alanson 7-0 and 5-1.
Crawley struck out nine in game one. Landon Waller paced the offense. He had two hits, stole six bases and scored three runs. Brian Cannon added two hits, two runs and two RBIs. Jamie Lanter contributed two hits and an RBI.
Strange struck out 13 in the nightcap. Travis Rogers drove in two runs while Zach Light chipped in two hits.
Kalkaska 6 5
Mancelona 0 0
Travis Schuba and Craig Miller each threw shutouts as Kalkaska swept Mancelona 6-0 and 5-0.
Schuba struck out nine and gave up just one hit in the opener and Miller fanned eight in his nightcap two-hitter.
Kevin Zattlin was 3-for-3 with an RBI in the opener and Dan Tinkle had a 2-for-3 game with an RBI in the second contest.
The Blazers (13-12, 6-6 Lake Michigan) host Grayling Tuesday in a make-up doubleheader.

Kyle Coggins had two hits in each game as the TC Central JV swept East Jordan, 4-0 and 10-1.
Nolan Reamer added two hits in the nightcap for Central (23-8). Nathan Overmire tossed six shutout innings in game one while Chris Zehner had three innings of scoreless relief in game two.

The TC East freshmen improved to 20-8 by sweeping the Glen Lake JV, 17-4 and 5-0.
Justin Woodcox had three hits and Nick Lazar two in game one while Mike Morrison and Woodcox had doubles for winning pitcher Alex Zick.
Winning pitcher Caleb Morgan and Matt Shaw had two hits with Jacob Grove and Morgan hitting doubles in game two. Ryan Evarts had a perfect on-base percentage in the nightcap.
