SUTTONS BAY -- It was Senior Night at Suttons Bay on Thursday and no senior had a better night than David Wheelock.
Wheelock hit a school record nine 3-pointers in Suttons Bay's 87-65 Northwest Conference win over Buckley.
"To play like that in your last home game, that's pretty special," Norse coach Todd Hursey said.
Wheelock was 9-of-13 behind the arc. Ben Walters had the previous record with eight 3-pointers.
Dwaun Anderson added 18 points, Stephen Wheelock and Chase Palmer 10 and Marcus Russell nine points and nine rebounds for Suttons Bay (19-1, 14-0), which finished the regular season with 19 consecutive wins.
"I've seen very few teams shoot as well as they did tonight," Buckley coach Rene LaFreniere said. "They're the best team in the league. They deserved to win it."
Josh Ledford led Buckley (13-7, 7-7) with 28 points.

Glen Lake hit 18-of-22 free throws in the fourth quarter to beat Leland 70-66 and clinch second place in the Northwest Conference.
Matt O'Brien led the Lakers (14-6, 11-3) with 25 points and 13 rebounds. He was 17-of-19 from the foul line -- and perfect on all 11 of his attempts in the fourth quarter. Michael O'Brien added 17 points and 18 rebounds and Adam Scarbrough 17 points.
Leland (12-8, 7-7), which led by eight at half, was paced by Nate Sneed with 25 points, Galen Whittaker 13, Sam Scott 11 and Calvin Gibson 10.

Benzie Central coach Blair Moss was pleased with how the Huskies distributed the ball in an 86-45 Northwest Conference win over Kingsley.
Four players reached double figures for Benzie (16-4). Josh Gray netted 16 points, Jeremy Stapleton 15, Rick Jones 12 and Nick Radionoff 11. Josiah Myers chipped in nine.
Billy Wismer scored 15 points and Jack Ocobock 11 points to go with seven rebounds for Kingsley (2-18).
Mesick 80
Frankfort 65
Mesick had three players in double digits for an 80-65 Northwest Conference win over Frankfort.
The Bulldogs (8-12, 5-9 NWC) led 40-24 at the half.
Caleb Robinson had 17 points in the win while Cody Simerson had 14 points, D.J. Whittaker scored 12 and Tyler Hermatz had 10 rebounds.
Frankfort was led by Brandon Miller's 21 points.
TC West 71

Aaron Olsen had a strong overall night to lead Traverse City West to a 71-41 Big North Conference win over Gaylord.
Olsen had 13 points, 11 rebounds, four assists and three steals for the Titans (10-10). Graeme Placek had 15 points, Julius Moss scored nine points and Jake Fisher had eight points, six rebounds and two steals.
Logan Wickert had 10 points for Gaylord.
In the JV game, West won 57-33.
Jeremiah Williams had 16 points for the Titans (14-6, 8-2 BNC) while Nick Tooley and Trevor Commissaris each scored eight. Donny Cizek had seven points, nine assists and five rebounds.
West lost the freshmen game 57-42 to finish the year 7-11.

Cadillac opened a 36-22 lead at half en route to a 74-52 Big North Conference win over Alpena.
John Simons paced the Vikings (8-12, 5-5) with 26 points. Mike Weeks contributed 12.
Sean Berryman's 12 points topped Alpena.

Mike Vandermus and Harbor Springs played spoiler for Traverse City St. Francis.
Vandermus hit a basket with 5 seconds to go for a 42-41 Lake Michigan Conference win over the Gladiators.
St. Francis (18-4, 13-1) already wrapped up the league title last week. The loss ended a 12-game winning streak for the Glads.
Harbor Springs (9-11) trailed 41-36 with a minute to go when Vandermus took over. He scored the game's final six points for the win and finished the night with 13 points.
Ian Sheldon had 11 points and five rebounds for the Gladiators while Matt Zakrzewski had 10 points and four rebounds. Ben Schell and Luke Popp each scored seven points while Sean Sheldon had six rebounds and three blocks.
In the JV game, St. Francis won 46-39. Austin Currie and Nick Clear each scored 11 points.

Luke Morrison scored 25 points to spark Elk Rapids to a 82-70 non-conference win over Lake Leelanau St. Mary.

David Pasch led the Eagles (11-9), who trailed by four entering the fourth quarter, with 17. Bradford Schaub and Tyler Shaffran added 11.

East Jordan ended the regular season on a high note with a 62-59 non-conference win over St. Ignace.
The Red Devils (9-11) head into the tournament winners of five of their last six games.
In Thursday's win, Teddy Snowden had 19 points, Nico Cornstalk had 15 points and Matt Werner added 10 points.
Garrett Mortenson had 24 points for St. Ignace, Austin St. Louis scored 16 and Evan Everson had 13 points.
East Jordan trailed 35-33 at the half, but held the Chiefs to six third-quarter points for a 47-41 advantage.

A big fourth quarter led Manton to a 52-47 Highland Conference win over Lake City.
The Rangers (13-7) trailed 35-30 going into the fourth, but went on a 22-12 run to close out the win.
In the fourth quarter, Tyler O'Dell drained three 3-pointers.
Cody Emery had 19 points, 19 rebounds and six steals for Manton, Jasper Woodcock scored 15 points and O'Dell finished with 14.
Noah Davenport led Lake City with 23 points.
