TRAVERSE CITY -- B.J. Hagen had thrown nearly three perfect innings of relief.
The fourth wasn't as perfect for Traverse City.
River City's Chad Maddox hit an 11th-inning solo home run with one out to give the Rascals a 7-6 walk-off win over the Beach Bums.
Hagen had faced near the minimum nine batters in three innings of relief work for Traverse City (38-46). He took the loss, despite only giving up one hit.
TC starter David Dinelli was roughed up for six earned runs in 1.2 innings on six hits and a pair of walks.
John Alonso kept up his torrid hitting pace with two more homers, as he extended his franchise single-season home run record to 14. He was 4-for-6 with three RBIs in the game.
Mike Epping homered on the first pitch of the game and Alonso added his 13th homer of the season with two outs in the first.
River City chased Dinelli with five runs in the second to take the lead by sending 10 men to the plate. Chris Colton led off the inning by homering to left to tie the score. JoJo Batten came to the plate with the bases loaded and tripled into left-center. Maddox drove in Batten with a single over the drawn in infield.
The Beach Bums rallied to knot it up, getting one run in the fourth as Brian Lapin singled in Alonso.
Brad Miller led off the fifth with a double and scored on a single to right off the bat of Michael Campbell. Alonso hit his second homer of the night to tie the score.
Both teams left 10 runners on base.
Epping's homer gave his 16 for his Beach Bums career, tying Brad Vericker for the team's career mark.
