The Traverse City Beach Bums signed infielder Jordan Kreke, who played at Eastern Illinois University with current Beach Bums Matt Miller and Brent McNeil.
The 24-year-old Kreke, who was drafted in the 13th round in 2009 by the Atlanta Braves, played for the AA Mississippi Braves last season, hitting .218 with 12 doubles and 33 RBI in 111 games.
As a senior at Eastern Illinois, he hit .394 with 13 home runs and 59 RBIs and was named the Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Year.
