TRAVERSE CITY -- Rain continues to play havoc in the Traverse City Beach Bums-Lake Erie Crushers series.
Saturday's Frontier League doubleheader was called due to inclement weather, the second day in a row rain has forced a postponement.
A doubleheader has been rescheduled for today at Wuerfel Park, beginning at 4:05 p.m.
Saturday's rainout, however, means the two teams will only play two of the three scheduled games in the series. The third game will not be made up since there's just over a week left in the season.
The Beach Bums will pitch David Nathanson in today's opener. He's 6-9 with a 3.90 ERA. David Dinelli, who's 2-5 with a 7.71 ERA, will get the call in game two. Lake Erie will counter with Alberto Rolon and Brent Lysander. Rolon is 3-1 with a 3.60 ERA while Lysander is 9-1 with a 4.48 ERA.
Fans who held tickets for games Friday or Saturday can exchange them for a voucher to any of the eight remaining home dates.
