TRAVERSE CITY — Jose Vargas, a key contributor in Traverse City's bid for a Frontier League playoff berth last season, will return for the 2012 campaign.
The Beach Bums announced Thursday that Vargas, who spent the majority of the season at third base, was back in the fold.
Vargas hit .261 while leading the team in doubles and triples with 28 and five, respectively. He drove in 63 runs, playing in all 96 games.
