TRAVERSE CITY -- The Traverse City Beach Bums acquired infielder Kyle Eveland from the Sioux Falls Canaries of the American Association.
The Beach Bums surrendered infielder Andrew Stafford and pitcher David Hurst in the deal.
Eveland, 22, made his professional debut with Sioux Falls last summer after he went undrafted out of Chico State University. In 79 at-bats, Eveland hit .266 with a .316 slugging percentage and .359 on-base percentage. He made just two errors in 64 chances.
Eveland's brother, Dana, is a pitcher in the big leagues with the Oakland Athletics.
