Traverse City therapist Mary Raymer, LMSW, ACSW, DPNAP, was the guest speaker March 22 on the "Dr. Melanie Show" on Voice America's Health and Wellness Channel.

Dr. Melanie Barton is a social worker in Tallahassee, Fla. Her weekly international, internet radio show reaches more than 10,000 listeners worldwide. Otsego Memorial Hospital's skilled-nursing facility, McReynolds Hall, received a five-star overall rating in U.S. News & World Report's annual Best Nursing Homes, released in February.

Of more than 15,500 homes rated and profiled on the U.S. News website, OMH's McReynolds Hall was among the top 12 percent nationwide that received a five-star overall rating in all four quarters of 2011.

Homes earn an overall rating of one to five stars in each of three underlying categories: health inspections, nurse staffing and quality of care.

The facility also was ranked in the top 10 percent of nursing homes throughout the state of Michigan by the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
