Michael T. Connor, owner/manager of Smile Maker's Dental Lab in Traverse City, has successfully passed the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry's accreditation written examination, administered in Washington, DC, during the 28th annual AACD Scientific Session in May.

The written exam is the first step in the AACD's accreditation process, which challenges a dental professional's foundational knowledge in cosmetic dentistry. The three-part accreditation process consists of a written exam, clinical case examinations and an oral exam.

Patrick T. Gartland, MD, has joined the staff of Munson Medical Center to specialize in diagnostic/musculoskeletal radiology.

Dr. Gartland graduated from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. He completed both a radiology residency and musculoskeletal radiology fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals, Milwaukee. He is a board certified radiologist.
