The Blue Rockets of East Jordan won first-place and $2,600 at the 19th annual Twin Soo Championship Tournament held at Dondee Lanes in Sault Ste. Marie throughout the spring and early summer.
Close to 2,000 individuals participated in the handicap event’s team, doubles, singles and all-events divisions. League averages are used to determine handicap as the prize money awarded was in excess of $50,000.
Traverse City Central finished 13th and West 14th in the girls Division 1 field. Central rolled a 2882 and West a 2879.
