Traverse City St. Francis not only stayed undefeated for the season, but it did it in convincing fashion against a Class A opponent.

The Gladiators more than doubled up Alpena in a 63-31 rout on the road.

"This is our first real road win -- we won a neutral-site game at Breslin -- and beating a Class A team is special," TCSF coach Dave Ginsberg said.

Max Bullough added 10 points and nine rebounds, while Corey Williams (eight points, nine boards) and Luke Popp (eight points, five assists) were other top contributors.

Two boys bowling matches with tight endings helped the Great Northwest High School Bowling Conference standings take shape as teams prepare to enter the heart of the conference schedule.

Traverse City Central's A team and TC West's A team squared off with both teams coming in undefeated. The Titans jumped out to a 10-0 lead with a pair of 175 Baker games. Trojan Steve Tate (201) and Rosinski (194) sparked an 850-806 second game win. Bryce Blick rolled a 196 for the Titans. In doing so the Trojans forced a 15 all tie which was decided by a two game Baker roll off that Titans (3-0) claimed giving the Trojans (2-1) their first loss of the season.
