West boys, girls move to 7-0 in bowling

TRAVERSE CITY -- Traverse City Central and West squared off Saturday in Great Northwest Bowling Conference action with the Titans winning both duals.

In both divisions, West won 23-7 to move to 7-0.

Ashley Parent had a 396 series for the Titans while Taylor Pahl had a 359. TC Central had a 193 from Taylor Pahl.

The Titans also secured a 30-0 win over the Central B team. Laura Muzzarelli had a 368 series. The Trojans beat St. Francis 29-1 as Nicole Lally bowled a 390.

In the other matches, Glen Lake beat West's AA team, 21-9, and St. Francis (0-7), 23-7. West's AA team beat Benzie Central 28-1.

The boys division saw TC West's A team beat Bellaire 29-1, as Bryce Blick tossed a 226 for the Titans and Jeff Odom had a 182 for the Eagles.

The Trojans secured a 30-0 win over Benzie 30-0 thanks to a 421 series from Steve Tate.

St. Francis beat Glen Lake 20-10 behind a 342 from Spencer Schmerheim. The LAkers had a 214 from Jake Johnston.

TC Christian picked up a 28-2 win over Elk Rapids, as Andy Tuck threw a 382. Later, the Sabres beat TC West AA 19-11.

Bellaire also had a 20-10 win over Benzie, TC Central beat Glen Lake 27-3 and TC West beat Elk Rapids 20-10.
