TRAVERSE CITY — Mike Stepka will be the newest 86th District Court judge.
Vote tallies remained tight late Tuesday, but unofficial results this morning show Stepka beat Kevin Elsenheimer by a 24,091 to 22,940 mark.
Eighty-Sixth District Court covers Antrim, Leelanau and Grand Traverse counties.
Elsenheimer, a former Antrim County prosecutor, had his strongest showing in that county. He beat Stepka 5,746 to 3,391 in Antrim, but Stepka, a Grand Traverse County commissioner, beat Elsenheimer 15,535 to 12,754 in Grand Traverse.
In Leelanau County, Stepka beat Elsenheimer 5,165 to 4,440.
