TRAVERSE CITY — Gas prices jumped by about 20 cents today.
Prices went from about $3.40 to about $3.60 at many stations in the area, and most are expected to be at or around $3.60 by day’s end.
Patrick DeHaan, a petroleum analyst at GasBuddy.com, said prices shouldn’t climb any more before the weekend.
According to user-submitted reports at Record-Eagle.com/gas, some local stations were still in the $3.30-range as of 1 p.m.
