TRAVERSE CITY – National Cherry Festival Executive Director Tim Hinkley is stepping down.
Hinkley is retiring after three years as head of the festival, organizers said Thursday. Hinkley received a 3-year contract in November 2008 as the festival’s fifth executive director; he replaced Tom Menzel who now heads the Bay Area Transportation Authority.
Hinkley is a native of Clarkston who formerly worked as chief operating officer of Isle of Capri Casinos, Inc.
