Indoor winter farming workshop scheduled

BELLAIRE — An indoor winter farming workshop is set for Feb. 16 at the Parkside Art Council Members' Gallery Community Hall Room.

The event is from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and features Paul Murray, who's been farming wheatgrass and other sprours indoors for more than five years. The workshop will cover needed materials and information on to plant, grow and harvest indoor crops in the winter, and how to incorporate them in a diet.

The community hall room is located at 202 North Bridge Street in Bellaire.

The workshop is co-sponsored by the Northern Michigan Small Farm Conference and the Institute for Sustainable Living, Art & Natural Design (ISLAND). More information is available at 480-4515.
