'CEO Summit' slated to discuss economy

TRAVERSE CITY — An inaugural "Michigan CEO Summit" will be held in Detroit next month where more than a dozen of the state's top executives will discuss strategies for improving Michigan's economy.

The event is set for March 15 at the Westin Book Cadillac Hotel and is sponsored by Business Leaders for Michigan. BLM President Doug Rothwell said the event "provides a unique opportunity for business, civic, and community leaders to hear directly from Michigan's largest job providers about what they think are the major trends that will most impact our state's economy."

Organizations to be represented include Google, Ford Motor Co., Herman Miller Inc., Wolverine World Wide Inc. and Whirlpool.

Registration is available online at www.businessleadersformichigan.com/events.
