KALKASKA -- Bill Marsh Auto Group officially added Ford to its extensive lineup of vehicles.
The Traverse City auto dealer formally closed Tuesday on its purchase of Dan McCormick Auto & Truck Sales in Kalkaska. The dealers announced the transaction Sept. 1, but needed approval from Ford Motor Co. and Chrysler Corp. The purchase price was not disclosed.
"This gives us a second outlet to sell Chrysler vehicles, and we are especially thrilled to be able to sell Ford cars and trucks," Bill Marsh Jr. said in a statement issued by the company, the largest car dealer in northern Michigan. Its product line also includes Buick, Pontiac, GMC, Jeep, Dodge, Saturn and Hyundai.
Marsh will continue to sell Ford and Chrysler lines at the Kalkaska site, located at 408 W. Mile Road (M-72) in Kalkaska. The used-car operation will be known as Price Point of Kalkaska, creating the company's third Price Point Used Car Center.
The dealership was closed Tuesday during the ownership transition, but is slated to re-open today.
