EAST JORDAN -- A federal loan and grant will pay for new police vehicles in East Jordan.
East Jordan will receive a loan for $27,000 and a grant for $9,000 to buy four new police cruisers. The money will come from the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Community Facilities Loan and Grant Program, said U.S. Rep. Bart Stupak, D-Menominee.
Several of East Jordan's current police vehicles have excessive mileage.
