SUTTONS BAY -- The effect of invasive species on Grand Traverse Bay will be discussed at a free seminar presented by the Inland Seas Education Association.
Christine Crissman, ISEA's education director and chief scientist, will discuss the impact of invasive species on the bay's ecosystem during the last few decades. Topics will include zebra mussels and round gobies and their impacts on the food web and native species.
The free seminar will begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the ISEA office, 100 Dame St. in Suttons Bay. Pre-registration is not required.
