TRAVERSE CITY -- Vicky Springer is the Downtown Development Authority's newest board member.
City commissioners approved Springer's appointment at their Monday night meeting.
She is filling a vacancy left when board member Bruce Rogers resigned. The unexpired four-year term ends in September 2010.
Springer is a city resident and has a background in real estate and business.
