MANCELONA -- It was a clean sweep for Harbor Springs Thursday. The Rams won the boys and girls meets and also had the top finisher in both races at the Mancelona Invitational.
In the girls meet, Harbor Springs had 29 points, followed by Kingsley (82), Charlevoix (135), Traverse City St. Francis (141), Onaway (154), Inland Lakes (162), Frankfort (189), Wolverine (193), Boyne City (233), Gaylord St. Mary (346) and East Jordan (362).
Maddie Buntin was the overall champ in 20 minutes, 13.97 seconds. Frankfort's Keeton Spencley was second, Kingsley's Kirstin Volkening was third, while Harbor Springs' Alivia Murphy and Caitlyn Reeves were fourth and fifth.
Also scoring for the Rams were Katie Hoffman (8) and Rachael Brushaber (11).
Kingsley had Sam Krause finish seventh, Chelsea Gould was 10th, Alex McNair was 30th and Casey Mutter was 32nd.
Traverse City Christian's Emily Ritsema was sixth, Onaway's Hayley Omeara was 12th, Bonye City's Joslyn Moore was 13th, Onaway's Allie Nave was 14th and St. Francis' Ashley Meachum was 15th with a personal best of 21:37.83.
In the boys meet, Harbor Springs had 38 points, followed by Wolverine (73), Charlevoix (75) Traverse City St. Francis (78), Kingsley (99), Gaylord St. Mary (223), Boyne City (269) and Mancelona (272).
Tecumseh Adams was the overall champ in 15:56.06. Other Harbor Springs runners included Alden McCarty (4), Jacob Brushaber (5), Mike Sydow (7) and Ben Kloss (21).
Wolverine's Jeremy Egas was second and Luke Operhau was third. Eric Purgiel (16), Tim Ward (23) and Tim Lark (27) also factored into the scoring.
Gaylord's Mike Jopp was sixth while Traverse City St. Francis ran Alex Primeau (8), James Alpers (10), Ricky Woods (11) while Kingsley placed Rachi Sims (9) in the top 10.
The top 15 also included Charlevoix's Alex Buday (12), Eric Buday (13) and Kirk Acharya (14) while Kingsley's Conor Goggin was 15th.

Cadillac 0
Dane Macdonell scored a goal and earned the shutout to lead Traverse City Central to a 3-0 Big North Conference win at Cadillac.
Macdonell scored for the Trojans (9-6-1, 4-4) on a penalty kick and also made six saves.
A.J. Moehn scored off a Greg Merica assist while Christian Groesbeck scored off Jordan deTar's assist.
In the JV match, Central earned a 4-0 win.
The Trojans had two goals from Nick Wright and one each from Alex Gore and Nick Thomas. Matt Westerman, Kevin Trippe, Wright and Gore had assists.
TC West 2

John Spencer scored with 7 minutes left to give Traverse City West a 2-1 Big North Conference win over Alpena.
John Gourlay had an unassisted goal in the first half for the Titans (10-4-1).
Alpena's goal came from Paul Pzwozniak.
Alex Sanderson and Erik Nixon split time in net for West, who outshot the Wildcats 22-1.
Elk Rapids 8
East Jordan 0
Andy Tezak racked up five points as Elk Rapids shut out East Jordan 8-0 to remain undefeated in the Lake Michigan Conference.
Tezak had four goals and an assist for the Elks (10-6-1, 9-0), while Tucker Hogarth added a hat trick.
Greg Manning scored a goal and Kevin Crellin, John Greiner, Vern Lalone and Bernardo Salomon added assists.
Mike Root made five saves in goal for the Elks, who host Boyne City on Monday and Harbor Springs on Tuesday.

Harbor Light Christian scored twice in the first half and never looked back for a 5-1 non-conference win over Burt Lake Northern Michigan Christian.
Scoring for the Eagles (6-10-1) was Stephen Thompson on a penalty kick.

East Jordan 1
Traverse City St. Francis moved to 5-2 in the Lake Michigan Conference Thursday with a four-set win over East Jordan.
The Gladiators (12-10-2) won 22-25, 25-10, 25-17, 25-16.
Marley Martin had seven kills, Lyndsay LaCourse had four aces and six kills, Jamie Bott added seven aces and six kills while Emily Buckel had 16 assists.

Leland secured a four-set victory over Traverse City Christian Thursday.
The Comets (10-15, 3-2) won 25-15, 19-25, 25-21, 25-19.
Rhiannon Hildenbrandt had 17 kills and 10 digs while Sarah Ruszel had seven kills and 14 aces. Molly Harrison also added 33 assists.
Kalkaska 3
Elk Rapids 0
Kalkaska swept Elk Rapids in three games in Lake Michigan Conference action.
The Blazers won 25-22, 25-15, 25-21 over the Elks.
Kalkaska was paced by Megan Dunn (18 assists, two kills), Maria Harbour (17-for-17 serving) and Abby Merrill (11 kills, 11 digs).
The Blazers (13-7-6, 4-2 LMC) host East Jordan on Tuesday.

Pellston earned a road win at Bellaire Thursday to stay perfect in the Ski Valley Conference.
The Hornets (19-4-5, 5-0) won 25-8, 25-9, 25-19.
Katie Dzedzie had 12 kills and 11 aces for Pellston while Rachel Hutto had 22 assists in the first two games. Nicole Madigan added nine kills while Kara Pavlisin and Kristi Lewis each had eight.
SWIMMING
TC West 74
South Haven 27
Traverse City West dominated a meet with South Haven, winning nine events in a 74-27 Coastal Swim Conference victory.
The Rams then topped TC Central 67-35.
West's 400 freestyle team of Amy Brunner, Sarah Brunner, Erin Holstad and Elly Maleski swam a state-qualifying time of 3:49.86 in their win.
Maleski also won the 200 individual medley (2:25.69) and 100 backstroke (1:05.91).
Paige Keith won the 200 (2:18.93) and 500 freestyle (6:15.49).
Holstad claimed the 100 freestyle (56.69) and Sarah Brunner the 100 butterfly (1:04.05).
The Titans (2-2, 2-0 CSC) also claimed two other relay wins, taking first in the 200 medley relay with a team of Paige Rogers, Holstad, Kate Reed and Amy Brunner (2:00.43) and the 200 freestyle relay with Shelby Newhouse, Holstad, Rogers and Amy Brunner.
The Titans host TC Central and Muskegon Catholic Central on Thursday.
The Trojans (1-3) had a first-place finish from Lauren Rockafellow in the 200 free (2:27.04) and Claire Wodzien in the 200 IM (2:40.59). Wodzien won the 500 free (5:56.28) while Rockafellow was second (6:44.58).
The 400 freestyle team of Wodzien, Rockafellow, Michelle Rizor and Kami Hundley also finished first in 4:34.50.

Brett Kinny and Colin Richard scored two touchdown each as Traverse City West topped Flint Carman-Ainsworth 25-22 in a junior varsity matchup.
Zane Ruskowski picked off two passes in the Titans (3-3) win.

Kalkaska JV 6
Kalkaska answered the first Traverse City St. Francis touchdown Thursday, but couldn't keep pace the rest of the way. The Gladiators improved to 4-2 with a 42-6 home win.
Tyler Hansen scored three touchdowns for St. Francis while Jeff Summers, Will Grombala and Justin Olm all found the end zone.
Kalkaska's score was a 68-yard pass from Brandon Washburn to Isaac Burfield.
Ryan McDonnell had an interception for the Glads while Hansen and Kyle Gallagher led the defense.

Matt Bean scored two touchdowns to lead the Traverse City West freshmen to a 26-14 win over Flint Carman-Ainsworth.
Ryan Peters and Zach Schafer also added TDs for the Titans, who ran for three scores behind a strong offensive line effort.
Isiah Hackney picked off a pass for West (2-3).

For the third straight game, Tyler Clark scored four touchdowns to lead Traverse City Central to a 55-28 Big North Conference win over Gaylord.
The Trojans are now 3-3 on the season, but 3-0 in league play.
Clark's scores came from 88, 80, 45 and 17 yards.
Joe Prokes had two touchdowns, two PATs, a two-point conversion and a 30-yard field goal. Sem Novikov had a 62-yard touchdown run while Ben Lewis also scored.
Defensively, Brandon McKee, James Newland, Boone Marois and Prokes all had interceptions.
