JOSEPH FRANK BURDA, 79, of Leland, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012 at Tendercare of Leelanau.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, March 5 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lake Leelanau with the rosary to be prayed one hour prior. The Rev. Michael Janowski will serve as celebrant. A private family burial will be held at a later date.

A full obituary will be in Friday's edition of the Record-Eagle.

Arrangements are with the Martinson Funeral Home of Suttons Bay.

GRACE BLANCHE FRYER, 83, of Traverse City, died Feb. 27, 2012, at Bortz Health Care.

A body donation has been made to The University of Michigan Medical School.

The family has entrusted arrangements to Oak Grove Cremation Center in Manistee.

BETTY B. GARTHE, 90, of Lake Leelanau, died Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012, at Yorkshire AFC.

A memorial service will be planned for summer.

EDWARD DAVID MAIDENS, 75, of Bear Lake, died Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012, at West Shore Medical Center in Manistee.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 2, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Terwilliger Funeral Home in Kaleva.

Mass from the Order of Christian Funerals will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 3, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Onekama, with Fr. Ruben Munoz, celebrant. Interment will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery in the spring.

Terwilliger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

TERRY ROBERT POOLE, age 72 of Manistee, died Monday Feb. 27, 2012 at Spectrum Health - Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids.

Cremation has taken place and per Terry's wishes, no services are scheduled.

The family has entrusted arrangements to Oak Grove Cremation Center.

RAY REED, 68, of Grawn, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012, at Munson Medical Center.

Visitation will take place Sunday, March 4, from 3 to 7 p.m., at Covell Funeral Home in Traverse City.

His funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, March 5, at the funeral home.

A full obituary will be published on Saturday.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Covell Funeral Home in Traverse City.
