TRAVERSE CITY — RAYMOND WAYNE NELSON “JIMMY” BYERS, 76, of Traverse City, died Friday, July 13, 2012, at his home.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Covell Funeral Home of Traverse City. FRED WALDO COOK, 88, of Traverse City, died Friday, July 13, 2012, at Bortz Health Care of Traverse City. Cremation has taken place. No services are scheduled at this time.

The family has entrusted funeral arrangements to Oak Grove Cremation Center in Manistee. CLIFFORD LEROY MERRICK, 90, of Kingsley, died tragically Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012, in a fire that destroyed his home.

A military graveside memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 21, 2012, at Fife Lake Cemetery, Fife Lake. A luncheon will follow at VFW Post 2780, located on Veterans Dr., Traverse City.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Traverse City Junior Golf Association, 310 W. Front St., Suite 201, Traverse City, MI 49684.

MARGARET JEAN (OCKERT) NELSON, 86, of Traverse City, passed away Friday, July 13, 2012, at Tendercare in Traverse City.

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 17, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 18, also at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Barnum Cemetery.

The family is being served by the ReynoldsJonkhoff Funeral Home.

ELIZABETH P. ROE, 90, of Manistee, formerly of Redford, died Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at Manistee County Medical Care Facility.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., with visitation from 10 a.m., Friday, July 20, at the Redford Aldersgate United Methodist Church. Interment will be in Cadillac Memorial Gardens West, Garden City.

The family has entrusted funeral arrangements to Oak Grove Cremation Center.

JACK M. SCHLOSSER, 74, of Traverse City, passed away Friday, July 13, 2012, at Munson Medical Center.

Arrangements are pending. A complete obituary will be in the next edition of the Record-Eagle.

RESTITUTA ‘CRISTINA’ TAPAOAN, 90, of Williamsburg, formerly of Waialua, Oahu, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2012, at home.

A visitation will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, July 20, at Mililani Mortuary, Mauka Chapel (808-677-5631 #1) on Oahu, Hawaii.

Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 21, at the Waialua United Church of Christ, with visitation starting at 9 a.m. and funeral procession to Mililani Mortuary at noon.

The family is being served by ReynoldsJonkhoff Funeral Home.

PATRICIA WATKINS, 74, of Mancelona, passed away Saturday, July 14, 2012, at Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility.

A celebration of life will take place Wednesday, July 18, at 11 a.m., at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Visitation will take place Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m., also at the funeral home.

The Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes is handling the arrangements.
