Fundraiser offers snow and suds
TRAVERSE CITY -- A new fundraiser at Timber Ridge RV & Recreation Resort will pair snowshoeing with beer tasting to benefit Bethany Christian Services, a family adoption and foster care agency with offices in Traverse City.
Participating breweries include Arbor, Bell's, Dark Horse, Founder's, Jolly Pumpkin Ale, Leelanau Brewing, New Holland, Right Brain, Short's and Traverse Brewing. There also will be a selection of soups, sandwiches and small plates from Mackinaw Brewing, TraVino, Freshwater Lodge and Schelde's. Live music by the Windy Ridge Boys, volleyball and skiing on trails that include a tented trail station.

Rachael Davis at Browntown Hall
MANISTEE -- Singer-songwriter Rachael Davis will be in concert Feb. 23 at the Browntown Hall .
The 8 p.m. concert is being presented by the Spirit of the Woods Music Association. Tickets are $10 for adults and $4 for children 12 and younger.

Travelogue visits Corsica, Rivieras
CHEBOYGAN -- The Cheboygan Area Arts Council will present the second film of its 2008 Travel Adventure Film Series at 2 p.m. Feb. 17.

School hosts square dance
CADILLAC -- The Cadillac Square and Round Dance Club will hold a dance Friday at the Franklin Elementary School.
Beth Johnson of Cadillac will cue pre-rounds from 7 to 7:30 p.m. and Art Bentley of Gladwin will call squares from 7:30 to 10 p.m. All Western-style square dancers and spectators are welcome.
