Gospel choir will perform at Dennos
TRAVERSE CITY -- The Dennos Museum Center at Northwestern Michigan College will present the Detroit-based gospel choir The Whitfield Company.
The Whitfield Company is a community-based aggregation of talented ministers of music, soloists, directors, musicians and ministers of the gospel representing diverse denominations from the Detroit area. They will perform at 8 p.m. Jan. 16 in Milliken Auditorium, 1701 E. Front St. The museum, with the support of NMC's Diversity Services and the Traverse City Human Rights Commission, will celebrate the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King with the concert.

Information session on Anglican Church
TRAVERSE CITY -- The Rev. Kurt Henle will conduct an informational session for those wishing to learn about the Anglican Church.
Henle recently located to Traverse City from St. Louis to establish All Saints Anglican Church. The informational session will start at 1:30 p.m. Jan. 18 at the Church of the Living God, 1415 Birmley Road, where the new congregation will start meeting for worship in January.
The denomination worships using the historic "Book of Common Prayer," traditional Anglican music and hymns. The theology is based on Holy Scripture, the 39 Articles of Religion of the Church of England and the historic ecumenical creeds of the universal church. For details, call 946-6589.
