---- — Several readers identified the Chamber of Commerce men pictured in the History Center of Traverse City archive photo that appeared Monday, Nov. 5 in the Community section.
Mike Ouwerkerk said he is the man standing on the far left in the photo of members of the board of directors of the Traverse City Industrial Fund, an arm of the Traverse City Chamber of Commerce. He thought the photo was taken 1964-66.
Ouwerkerk identified from left to right (standing): Mike Ouwerkerk, CPA and board assistant treasurer; Les Biederman, board member and president of WTCM; Chuck Moorman, board member and vice president of the original Traverse City State Bank; Dave Pearce, board member and president of National Bank and Trust of Traverse City; Arnell Engstrom, board member and state representative; Harry Calcutt, attorney for the Industrial Fund. Seated left to right are: Pete Clancey, local Realtor, Al Kidder, fund treasurer and owner of Kidder Optical; Willis "Bill" Heidbreder, board president and Tony Saeli, Chamber director.
Readers Leo Hughes, Jim Thompkins, Ron Kulp, George Weeks, Beau Warren and retired Sen. George McManus also recognized the Industrial Fund members.
