TRAVERSE CITY — Shayna Lynne Zerbe and Robert Andrew Marsh, both of Traverse City, were united in marriage on Aug. 24, 2012, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Rev. Joseph P. Graff performed the 4 p.m. ceremony, with Monsignor Edwin A. Thome assisting. Readings were done by the bride's godfather, James Key of Coopersville, and the groom's uncle, Michael Marsh of Traverse City.
Susanna Haberlein of Interlochen attended her long-time friend as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Alyse Exelby, a former college roommate of the bride from Britton; Shayna's friends and former equestrian teammates, Marie Aldridge and Kari Kurtz, both of Traverse City; and the groom's sisters, Lindsay Bott of Fort Benning, Ga., and Sarah Marsh of Traverse City.
James Marsh of Traverse City served as his brother's best man. Groomsmen were long-time friends, Taylor Beia of Los Angeles, Matthew Ryan and Benjamin Videan, both of Traverse City; and Kevin Kane of Traverse City and Nathan Reimink of Hamilton, former college roommates of the groom.
A reception was hosted at the Boathouse Restaurant of Old Mission immediately following the ceremony, where guests enjoyed the sunset over West Bay.
Shayna is the daughter of Donna (Dawson) Zerbe of Traverse City and Michael Zerbe of Kingsley. She graduated from Traverse City St. Francis High School and received a bachelor of arts degree in English writing from Adrian College.
Robert is the son of Jamie and Barbara Marsh of Traverse City. He also graduated from St. Francis High School and received a bachelor of arts degree in communications studies from the University of Michigan.
The newlyweds are living in Traverse City.
