Laura Margaret Szwalek and Thomas George Pazol, both of Chicago, have announced their engagement. The couple are planning a September 2013 wedding in Chicago.
Laura is the daughter of Stanley and Maureen Szwalek Jr. of Traverse City. She graduated from Traverse City Central High School, received a bachelor of arts degree in political science and education from the University of Michigan and a master's degree in counseling psychology from Northwestern University in Chicago. Laura is a licensed clinical professional counselor at Lutheran Social Services in Chicago.
Thomas is the son of Lawrence and Judith Pazol of Bloomfield Township, Mich. He graduated from Andover High School in Bloomfield Hills and received a bachelor of science degree in business from Indiana University in Bloomington, Ind. Thomas is self-employed as a financial advisor.
