MOMM group

Traverse City — Single MOMM Live will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at Jacob's Corn Maze, 7100 M-72 West.

Free dinner for moms and children and free child care will be provided.

'Hit the Wall' art

Beulah — L'Chayim Delicatessen's fifth "Hit the Wall" exhibit will feature sculpture by Bob "BT" Thomas.

A wine and cheese party from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at the deli will open the exhibit. Thomas' art will be featured for a month at the Beulah location. Call 871-0601.

AAUW fall brunch

Traverse City — The community is invited to learn more about the American Association of University Women at a "Fall Round Up" brunch.

The event will start at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at the History Center of Traverse City, 322 Sixth St. A $10 donation at the door is suggested. For details, call 995-0313.

Youth lead service

Traverse City — Young church members will lead the 10:30 a.m. service on Sunday, Sept. 23, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1050 Peninsula Dr. The youth will share their experiences at the National Youth Gathering in New Orleans.

Campfire gathering

Traverse City — Family grieving the loss of a child are invited to a campfire gathering hosted by the Grand Traverse chapter of the Compassionate Friends.

The get-together will start at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24, at Timber Ridge Resort at Hammond and Six Mile roads. Newcomers are welcome. For details, call 334-3647.

Garden club meets

Traverse City — A hands-on workshop using fruits and vegetables to create autumn arrangements will highlight the Tuesday, Sept. 25, meeting of The Friendly Garden Club. The group will meet at 11:30 a.m. at the First Congregational Church, 6105 Center Road.

Fall pruning

Benzonia — Plant It Wild will host a free program on fall pruning and winter preparation by Brian Zimmerman and Jerry Konczal from Four Seasons Nursery.

A potluck will start at 6:30 p.m., followed by the program at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, at the Benzonia Congregational Church, 900 Barber St. Anyone coming for the meal should bring a dish to pass and table service. For details, call 392-1206.
