Shopping assist

traverse city — Volunteers are needed to assist residents at Grand Traverse Pavilions with holiday shopping. Interested individuals are asked to contact Linda Burton at 932-3159 or Kari Belanger at 932-3032.

Volunteers must be age 16 or older. An ability to push a wheelchair is required. In addition to the holiday season, field trips are held throughout the year and the need for volunteers is essential.

Tax prep help

traverse city — Northwest Michigan Community Action Agency (NMCAA) offers free tax preparation for low-to-moderate income area residents. Volunteers are needed to provide data entry. Make your own hours between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Training will be provided.
