Yarn Shop offers knitting classes

Glen Arbor -- The Yarn Shop will teach knitting basics in three sessions.

The class will meet from 12 to 4 p.m. March 6 and March 13 at the store on M-22. Students will learn fundamental skills as they complete a simple project.

The $12 fee includes project yarn, patterns and other instructional handouts. Students should bring their own knitting needles.

Garden Club plans March meeting

Alden -- Reservations are due Friday for the next meeting of the Juniper Garden Club of the South Torch Lake Area.

The club will meet at 11:30 a.m. March 4 at the Wild Onion, 9069 Helena Road for a presentation on "Entertaining with Panache."
