Living Light Massage & Wellness Center has added two new massage therapists to its team.
Amanda Calipetro has been practicing massage for more than eight years. Her specialties include deep tissue, relaxation, hot stone and pregnancy massage, as well as aromatherapy and reflexology.
Tiffany Ingalls, a graduate of the Cortiva Massage Therapy Institute, specializes in deep tissue, relaxation, myofascial and sports massage.

West Shore Medical Center was recognized with the 2009 Rural Health Quality Improvement Award by the Michigan Rural Health Center. This is the first year that the award has been offered.
West Shore received the award for treatment of patients with heart failure and pneumonia. Both these areas of inpatient care have been designated national health care priorities by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. The award honors West Shore for embracing evidence-based medicine to advance systems and processes, to improving the quality and safety of care delivered to their patients.

Kelly Monroe, CMA, recently celebrated her five-year anniversary as a certified medical assistant with Digestive Health Associates (DHA) of Northern Michigan.
Monroe received an associate degree in applied science with a concentration in medical assisting from Baker College and is responsible for taking vital statistics, scheduling necessary tests and helping the doctors at DHA. A former patient at DHA, Monroe's career path was inspired by the care and treatment she received from the staff and doctors there.
