Courtyard Fine Art has vintage maps and prints on display at Books A Million in Traverse City.

Fiber artist Char Bickel will open the 2012 "Talk About Art" series at the Glen Arbor Art Association.

The Muteflutes will give a benefit concert Sunday, Jan. 22, for the SEEDS After-School Program.

Readers' Theater, the Glen Arbor Art Association's new dramatic venture, will present two adapted Sherlock Holmes stories Wednesday, Jan. 25.

The Northern Michigan Cultural Center, a nonprofit organization in Traverse City, will be hosting a free open house to celebrate Chinese New Year from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28.

Cross country ski lessons will be offered Saturday at the Grand Traverse Commons.

The opening has been postponed from April until the fall for the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum on the campus of Michigan State University.
