Worldly food is for a worldly cause

TRAVERSE CITY — The annual International Student Dinner at Northwestern Michigan College is scheduled for Thursday, April 12.

The dinner, which raises money for scholarships for international students, is served by the international students. The buffet features food from their native countries. Music and dance from Spain will be by Juan Siddi Flamenco Theatre.

Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. at the Hagerty Center on the Great Lakes Campus, Front and Barlow, Traverse City. Tickets are $30 for adults, $15 for students and $10 for children 13 and under. Tickets are available at www.nmc.edu/tickets, at the college's admissions office, or by calling 995-1054.

BENZONIA — Buy dinner at two Benzie County restaurants Tuesday, April 3, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Benzie Area Christian Neighbors.

This month's restaurants are Bayview Grill on Main Street in Frankfort and the Roadhouse on U.S. 31 in Benzonia.

Benzie Area Christian Neighbors is the largest food and clothing pantry in Benzie County and helps more than 3,000 people each month.
