TRAVERSE CITY -- A Williamsburg man faces multiple criminal charges after he allegedly forced his way in to a woman's home.
A woman who lives in Garfield Township's King's Court mobile home park awoke at about 1 a.m. Wednesday to someone banging on the side of her home, police said. She went to the door and found a man she didn't recognize.
The man, who allegedly was intoxicated, pushed his way into the home and began asking for someone the woman didn't know. He left and she called 911.
The woman's minivan was in the driveway with the keys inside, and the suspect drove off with it, police said. He crashed it nearby and was arrested.
The man is expected to be charged with home invasion, unlawful driving away of a motor vehicle, operating while intoxicated and hit and run.
