BELLAIRE — With a 4-1 win over visiting Burt Lake NMCA on Thursday, Bellaire clinched its first ever outright Northern Michigan Soccer League North Division championship.
Bellaire (14-4, 7-1 NMSL) now hosts McBain NMC on Tuesday in the first round of the league crossover.
Burt Lake NMCA took a 1-0 lead when Robert Taylor scored from a direct kick 30 yards out. About 13 minutes later, Bellaire tied it on a Drew Emery penalty kick.
Emery had another goal and two assists in the second half while Hunter Rowe had a goal and an assist. Denny Hall also scored. Adam Crandall had eight saves.
Glen Lake 4 Manistee 0
Glen Lake evened its record at 6-6-3 with a 4-0 whitewash of Manistee.
Jake Lewis netted two goals for the Lakers. Anders Johnson and James Hamilton chipped in a goal apiece. Johnson and Spencer White each drew an assist.
Ryan Tondreau and Keith Brown shared goaltending duties for the Lakers, who play Buckley on Monday.

Grand Traverse Academy picked up a 25-13, 25-17, 25-18 win over TC Christian.
Tiffany Wright had 12 assists for the Mustangs, Abby Schwanke had three aces, Amelia Peck had five kills, Rachel Peterson had four kills and Dakota Morgan had four blocks.
TC West JV 30 Petoskey JV 28
Dan Phifer and Josh Rakan each had a touchdown run and a two-point conversion as Traverse City West posted a 30-28 junior varsity win over Petoskey.
Phifer scored from 6 yards out and Rakan from 15. Justin Shafer added a 20-yard TD reception from Jeff Turnquist, who also ran one in from 18 yards out.
Austin Currie caught a two-point conversion from Turnquist.
Mike Lake, Zac Schwert and Colvin Bouttavong led the Titan (3-4) defense.
